Alpine’s iDA-X001 is the world’s first head unit designed for iPod®. As a "Made for iPod" program member, Alpine designed the iDA-X001 to allow users to naturally and quickly navigate through all of the digital content on their iPod—including song titles, artists, playlists, etc.—via the head unit. Thanks in large part to the enormous popularity of the iPod® itself, sales of the head unit have been steadily strong. The unit has also garnered several prestigious awards, including the influential EISA Awards in 2007- 2008 from the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA), a group of 50 different trade publications from 18 European countries. This award is given to the best products of the year, and was awarded in recognition of the head unit’s design and innovative features.
