Alpine released its new product Blackbird into the rapidly expanding portable navigation market in North America to great fanfare. With its unique design, excellent operation and flexible system expansion, it instantly became a hot topic of conversation as soon as we announced its release—and it gained high marks at the CES show in Las Vegas. The unit also can connect to a docking station, allowing it to be fully controlled through an Alpine AV head unit and be used as a part of a full fledged rear seat entertainment system.
