Environmental Conservation in Japan

We are making further efforts toward zero emission and toward reducing CO2 emission

To secure a workplace with less environmental burden, we are aggressively working on waste reduction, recycling, pollution prevention, resource conservation, CO2 emission reduction, etc.

Zero Emissions

Waste Status
Since the zero emission campaign was started in April 2001 at the Iwaki Main Office, the campaign was expanded to include the Group affiliates (Alpine Electronics Manufacturing, Inc., and Alpine Precision, Inc). In March 2005, zero emission was first attained at four workplaces in Japan.
Starting in 2006, we have been addressing the “Reduce” issue to minimize waste generation. Waste generation in 2006 was reduced by about 18% from the 2005 level. Also, we successfully maintained the high annual recycling rate of 99.6%. We will continuously address the “Reduce” issue as well as further improvement of recycling rate.
