Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) are known to cause “sick-house” syndrome. Considering the possible adverse impact on employee health caused by the use of VOC and VOC emission and dispersion in the atmosphere in production processes and residuals in products, Alpine is working to reduce VOC. During FY 2006, we focused on reducing VOC emissions by improved coating efficiency, reducing volatilization by improving equipment, and introducing paints and supplementary manufacturing materials with low VOC content.
