Development of Lead-Free Products

Alpine launched a special project in 2002 to reduce lead, which adversely affects the environment and health, and have since then been working to implement lead-free solder. Ever since we released our first lead-free products -- CD players for the North American market -- in 2003, we have worked to eliminate lead in all products, and now use lead-free solder in almost all of our products developed in 2006. We will continue similar developments in the future, targeting lead-free solder for all products.
