Alpine Electronics (China) Co., Ltd. Dalian R&D Center, a design development base in China, is designing products based on their potential environmental burden.
During 2006, the R&D Center developed a number of environmentally friendly products by using lead-free solder and size and weight saving of products and packing materials.

Targeting employees engaged in work associated with a large environmental burden, the Center is conducting intensive education through a program for teaching professional knowledge.

Taicang Alpine Electronics Co., Ltd., as a production base, strictly checks received materials using a fluorescence X-ray analyzer to control chemical substances contained in products and to prevent the inclusion of banned substances.

Starting with an in-house awareness campaign,
developing into contributions to local communities
Dalian Alpine Electronics Co., Ltd., as one of the largest enterprises in the area where it is located, has been positively implementing CSR.
In environmental preservation, knowing that “small improvements in everyday behavior” such as electricity saving and waste classification conducted by each employee can lead to a large improvement for the entire company, we are focusing on environmental awareness education for the employees. In 2006, we offered diverse opportunities to learn about nature through excursions as annual events, fostering employee awareness of the environment.
As the business grows and the number of employees increases, concerns arise about an increase in the environmental burden. We are working to enhance employee awareness through environmental awareness education and to further promote environmental preservation.
