Realizing a sustainable mobile society

Alpine celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, having grown into a global enterprise now operating in 57 countries worldwide. Working closely with its employees, suppliers, and local residents, Alpine has shown steady, harmonious development in all regions by respecting and understanding diversity in language, culture, and customs.
The current number of cars worldwide exceeds 800 million. Indispensable to modern social mobility, the number of cars is expected to continue to increase. Maintaining a comfortable mobile society will become difficult, however, unless environmental burdens are reduced and sustainable symbiosis is realized through efforts to prevent global warming and create a recycling society. This is where Alpine’s car electronics can take a leadership role.

Fulfilling our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is Alpine’s primary premise in building good relationships with its stakeholders, including customers, shareholders, employees, suppliers, and local residents. It is also an important base for gaining trust from society supporting Alpine activities and achieving sustainable development.
With the above in mind, Alpine is taking environmental initiatives that will lead to the establishment of a mobile recycling society — reducing CO₂ emissions by lowering electric power consumption, introducing lead-free products and Green Procurement and recycling, using recycled materials at production sites. Alpine is working on risk management and compliance, institutionalizing internal auditing and internal reporting (Ethics Hotline) and positively promoting information disclosure in financial between stakeholders and management.

This report details current activities going on at Alpine to fulfill its social responsibilities.
