BMW Mini Cooper S featuring a complete multimedia system

IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung, popular name, the Frankfurt Motor Show) was held in Frankfurt, Germany from September 13 to 23. This year’s show was an even greater success than before, with exhibits from 125 countries attracting approximately 1 million visitors.

Alpine’s booth at the Frankfurt Motor Show was based on the concept of “Driving Mobile Media Solutions.” We showed off our IMPRINT Sound system which delivers exceptionally accurate in-car sound quality, the popular iPod® compatible iDA-X001 head unit, the portable Blackbird navigation system and others.

Visitors to the show were particularly impressed by the four demo-cars showcased in the center of the booth. The BMW Mini Cooper S was equipped with a multimedia system including a headless monitor based on its original systems, as well as the IMPRINT Sound processor for upgraded sound quality.
The Renault Megane demo car, “The eXperience,” featured as its centerpiece the iPod® compatible award-winning iDA-X001 head unit, along with the portable PMD-B100P navigation system, a rear seat monitor, a DVD player and other components. These four vehicles epitomize Alpine’s sophisticated Mobile Media Solutions.
