Alpine Spain’s custom demo car, Hyundai Santa Fe

Alpine showed its wares again at the Barcelona Motor Show, held in Barcelona, Spain from June 6 to 17, 2007. This is one of the largest automobile events in Spain—along with the Madrid Motor Show—and is held every other year. More than one million visitors came to the show and the Alpine booth was packed with car audio fans. Our booth had seven comprehensive demo boards featuring all our new 2007 products, including head units, navigation systems, and rear entertainment components. Among them were the IVA-D104R 1-DIN AV head unit and our versatile Perfect F.I.T. system, the VPA-B222R, which allows users to easily and seamlessly upgrade their factory system. The boards were crowded with people eager to try out the new systems.

Two demo cars were also on display at the Alpine booth: the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Renault Megane. Our custom Renault Megane, complete with a car audio system designed for iPod iDA-X001, had previously impressed crowds in April at the Car + Sound 2007 event in Germany. It thrilled event-goers in Spain as well—particularly because of its powerful sound, advanced processing and sophisticated system.

The other demo vehicle, a Hyundai Santa Fe, is an original demo car installation created by Alpine of Spain. The exterior was stunning, not only for the custom paint job, but also a special turbine with subwoofer that emerged from the car by way of motorized doors. Visitors also were wowed by the extensive multimedia system, with six sets of Type-X speakers, including the SPX-17MB and SPX137R speakers, in addition to the front speakers, and eye-popping six monitors. Both cars provided an impressive demonstration of Alpine’s sophisticated technology and its strong commitment to absolute top-quality sound.
