Vibration:
Actual driving test course/Vibration tester

Alpine's full-scale 1-km test course simulates 15 different types of road surfaces found throughout the world.

In-car components are constantly subjected to vibration. Because of these adverse conditions, Alpine strives to ensure consistent performance of its systems under any type of vibration—and in fact is the only car audio manufacturer that has its own test course for conducting actual driving tests.

The test course features fifteen different types of road surfaces in its inner and outer tracks including cobblestone surfaces found in Europe, gravel roads, irregular bumps, "washboard" surfaces and railroad crossings. The course allows us to carry out actual driving tests for our equipment over a wide range of conditions that our products are likely to encounter in various areas of the world. This is yet another instance of Alpine's no-compromise attitude that has made it a trusted name among drivers worldwide.

Our indoor tests involve computer-reproduced vibrations on a special vibration tester for conducting advanced vibration simulation tests based on data collected on the test course and actual roads. These tests subject products to simultaneous vibrations in three directions: vertical, lateral and fore-aft. Alpine products go through this rigorous series of tests to ensure their sturdiness and resistance to in-car vibrations.
